Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry’s Swish Swish has elicited some strong reactions from netizens. The track is said to be about Perry’s longtime nemesis Taylor Swift, and Swift’s squad has finally taken to social media to showcase their disapproval.
Ruby Rose took to Twitter on Friday to say the track was a low blow. “‘Purposeful poop’ to ‘bomb a petit’ to a sloppy mess of writing over the top of Funkagenda..stop trying to make ‘Wit.. I mean ‘fetch’ happen,'” Rose wrote. “I just think with everything going on in the world to go from rebranding as a political activist only to ditch it and go low.. is.. a bummer,” the actress added, referencing Perry’s support of Hillary Clinton during the election.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Rose has defended Swift. Last year, shortly after Kanye West released the track Famous where he bragged about making her famous, the actress took to Twitter to bash him.

“Too many lines crossed. If I put myself in the shoes of the women he has hurt recently. Victims of Bill Cosby, The Slut shaming, Amber,” she wrote. “And now my dear friend Taylor.. Right before another huge moment for her.. Can I still support him and call myself a feminist? A friend? No.”
Minaj, in the meantime, is not letting the controversy surrounding Swish Swish affect her. She will be the opening act at Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards and the No Frauds singer is clearly all geared up.
“Vegas what’s good?!??! Opening the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday,” she captioned an Instagram photo on Friday.
